Denta Scan is basically CT Scan of the teeth and jaw. It is one of the best and most extensively used scan by the dentists for dental implants. The scan helps dentists in planning the length of the implant to be used. It also gives a clear picture if there is enough bone in the jaw area to hold the implant screw that needs to be drilled in. Denta scan does not require any preperation. You would be given a hospital gown to wear before the test. The patient has to lie down on the CT Table and the scan is done.
